Hello fellow Lions,

The year is underway now and things are heating up in our Lion world. Budgets are completed by the Board ready for Membership approval. The audit was completed by Lion Bill Provo last week so we are ready to roll again.

The Kick-Off and Thank You dinner was terrific. Thank you to all of those that were involved.

We had almost 80 people there along with members from Belgium, Saukville, and 5-Corners Clubs. Our Zone Chairman was there. The speaker we had was GREAT- like Lion Robin said “it really brought home what we are all about. We forget sometimes about how much underprivileged depend on us.” Some members of the other Clubs were impressed on the party and our “C” word. I told them you have to have some fun or why do it.

I owe an apology to Lions Robin Olson and Lion Chuck Scandrett. I stated who helped at the Thiensville

Fire Department’s birthday and missed them. I don’t know how- they were there the whole time.

Lion Jerry Neumeyer lost his mother last Friday. He asked that no flowers or cards be sent by the Club.

Our condolences Lion Jerry.

We are cooking for a benefit at Thiensville Park on October 6th- I’m looking for a Chairman for the event.

It is for a kid that was born almost blind I believe. I’ll find out more tonight and talk about it next Tuesday. I heard it will be a walk-a- thon fund raiser and be over by 2pm. This is what we’re about - this is what we do.

We have a Zone Meeting Thursday (tonight) at Saukville. If you want to go call me 414-406-3311.
